Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report. Well, we're looking at similar size surf which means it's pretty playful out there. The only bummer, those conditions are a little funky early on.
There's some texture or even light bump on the surface at several spots. As far as the surf goes, we're seeing some holding northwest windswell and some south southwest groundswell in the background.
That recipe is offering some fairly broken-up crumbly lines, with some workable corners to pick off. Most spots in Newport Beach are running about knee-to waist-high plus, with the top combo breaks seeing stomach-high waves, with an occasional plus set.

Taking a look at the tides, at 10:55 a.m it drops to a 0.4 low which will have many breaks lacking water and pretty drained out mid-to late morning. The tide then climbs back up to a 4.5 high at 5:49 p.m.
If you're going to grab a session, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 fullsuit, with the water temperature hanging between 57 and 58 degrees. See ya in the water!
