Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report. Well, it looks like we have all the right ingredients out there this morning. We're seeing a decent dose of energy, nice weather and the conditions have finally come together.
It's starting off pretty glassy this morning and let's hope the southerly winds are gone for at least the next couple of days. Taking a look at the waves, there's a fun-size mixture of swells in the water. We have a fair amount of northwest swell and some south southwest energy out there.
That recipe is making for some racy and fairly peaky lines, with plenty of rippable corners to grab. Most Newport Beach spots are running about knee- to chest-high, with the standout combo breaks seeing an occasional bigger one.

Checking the tides, at 10:54 a.m it drops to a 1.0 low which will have some spots needing water mid-to late morning. The tide then climbs back up to a 4.5 high at 5:50 p.m.
If you're planning on paddling, throw on no more than a 3/2 fullsuit, with the water temperature hanging between 59 and 61 degrees. See ya in the water!
