Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Newport Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's a little smaller than yesterday, but there's still some fun size surf to be had out there. So, you can probably ride just about any board out there today!
The conditions are mostly clean early on, with a continued combo of energy in the water. We're seeing mainly south southwest swell and minor northwest wind and groundswell.
That recipe is making for some racy and sorta walled lines, with some pick and choose corners. Most spots in Newport Beach are hanging in the knee- to stomach-high range, with the focal points pulling a few chest high sets.

Taking a look at the tides...at 5:39 this morning it drained out to a 0.0 low which will have many spots lacking water early to mid-morning. The tide then pushes back up to a 3.4 high at 11:54 later this morning and then drops again to a 1.8 low at 4:49 this afternoon.
If you're going to grab a session, you can probably be fine in a 3/2 fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 58 and 60 degrees. See ya in the water!
