
Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Newport Beach Patch surf report. Well, the surf is continuing to back down, but you can still find some playful size waves at those standout combo breaks. And it looks like we're finally seeing some nice conditions!
It's clean and glassy early on with mostly minor to decent leftover northwest windswell and very little south-southwesterly energy in the water.
That recipe is offering some crumbly and somewhat broken-up lines, with a few fast shoulders. Most spots in Newport Beach are running about knee- to stomach-high, with the focal points pulling chest-high sets.

At 6:31 this morning the tide climbed up to a 3.9 high and then drops to a 0.7 low at 12:48 this afternoon. If you're planning on paddling, then throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit, with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 59 degrees. Have fun out there!!
