Mysterious Jellyfish-Like Creatures Wash Up on Newport Beach
Southern California beaches are covered in these strange jellyfish-like creatures.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — There is a strange phenomenon occurring along the Southern California coastline. On the beaches of Orange County, small jellyfish-like creatures have washed up by the hundreds.
With no tentacles, like the average jelly fish, this influx of mobile, burrowing beach sea animals were first seen in Huntington Beach on Monday.
According to the experts at the Ocean Institute in Del Mar, these gelatinous sea creatures are a type of sea cucumber.
