Where Else Can You See THIS MANY Million Dollar Cars—and Million Dollar Buyers

For you car nuts out there who appreciate the craftsmanship of older cars, muscle cars from the go-go 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s, and Italian and other foreign Super Cars, this weekend we have a major car auction coming to Newport Beach.

The Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auction will be held Thursday through Saturday here in Back Bay and offer over 350 cars, from “affordable” sports cars to high-end, high priced exotics. One of the highlights will be 2008 Bugatti Veyron, one of the fastest production cars made, and one that will be offered and sold for north of $1M. With 1000 horsepower and capable of speeds approaching 250 mph, this street legal adrenaline rush is rarely found in bright colors, so this bright red 8 liter street rocket, 16 cylinder car stands out amongst a very lofty group of peers.

Also in the mix are Italian Stallions like the 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS "Chairs & Flares" model and 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC Coupe, alongside American classics like a 1953 'Original Unrestored' Chevrolet Corvette Roadster and a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible Custom, plus something that no garage would be complete without: 1968 AA /FD Fuel Dragster, that seats just one, gets lousy gas mileage, but will get you to Trader Joes and back in record setting time.

Russo and Steele is helmed by local Newport resident, Drew Alcazar, who also lives in Scottsdale and is celebrating it’s 12th year in business, offering a setting “for enthusiasts by enthusiasts,” and creating a “you are there” feeling for the audience and buyers. Drew's unique “in the round” roll out of their inventory (as opposed to “on the stage”) which affords a potential 360 degree view of the cars on display, gives you the next best thing to being there.

Russo and Steele is partnering with local Charity, CHOC, and offering a unique dinner setting Thursday evening at 6:00 with tables being served by personalized, individual chefs from many different establishments. Tickets are still available for $150 per plate.
