A WiNN For Women In Business In Newport Beach

The second annual Women in Newport Networking forum is free and open to the community on March 16.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — The second annual Women in Newport Networking (WiNN) Community Forum will be held this Thursday, March 16, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Newport Beach Civic Center, 100 Civic Center Drive, Newport Beach, 92660. The event is free and open to the community.

WiNN was created by a group of community leaders in 2015 to encourage more Newport Beach women to serve local civic and community groups.

Newport Beach City Council Member Dixon explained, “The population of Newport Beach is nearly equally divided – half male, half female – yet women hold just under 25 percent of the City’s board, commission and committee seats. Women aren’t being overlooked. They simply aren’t applying for these positions at the same level as the men in our community. WiNN forums are designed to raise awareness about opportunities to serve Newport Beach and encourage women – and men too – to volunteer.”
