Woman, 61, 'Critically Missing' In Costa Mesa: Have You Seen Patricia?

The 61-year-old woman has an intellectual disability and the mental capacity of an 8-year-old, the Costa Mesa Police Department said.

COSTA MESA, CA — A 61-year-old woman was reported "critically missing" in Orange County Thursday by the Costa Mesa Police Department.

Patricia Canales was last seen Wednesday, March 13, around 2:30 p.m. on foot near the 3200 block of Dakota Avenue in Costa Mesa. She was reported missing Thursday afternoon.

She was last seen wearing black Tory Burch sunglasses, a black sweater, olive green sweatpants, stripes socks and black tennis shoes.

According to authorities, Patricia has an intellectual disability that gives her the mental capacity of an 8-year-old.

She was described as a 61-year-old woman with brown hair and brown eyes. She stands at 5'2" tall and weighs 135 pounds.
