Pedestrian Killed 2 Injured in North Hollywood Crash

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed today at a Hollywood (170) Freeway offramp in North Hollywood, authorities said.

Paramedics were sent to the northbound 170 at the Sherman Way offramp about 12:10 p.m., Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The pedestrian died at the scene, California Highway Patrol Officer Michele Bond said.

Two other people were hospitalized, Humphrey said.

How they were injured, and their conditions were not immediately known.

The Sherman Way off-ramp from the northbound freeway was closed, as was the Sherman Way onramp to the northbound freeway, according to the CHP.
