1 Killed In 170 Freeway Car Fire
A person was killed when a vehicle slammed into a tree and caught fire, shutting down the 170/134 freeway transition.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — One person died Monday in a crash that shut down the Hollywood (170) Freeway transition to the eastbound Ventura (134) Freeway transition during the morning rush hour.
The crash was reported at 6:07 a.m. and shut down the transition until about 8 a.m. Monday. According to the California Highway Patrol, a car hit a tree and caught fire.
Authorities did not immediately release the identity of the person killed in the crash.
