1 Killed in Fatal Rollover Crash on the Hollywood (170) Freeway
One person was killed and another seriously hurt in a rollover crash on (170) Freeway in North Hollywood.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA - One person was killed and another person suffered major injuries in a single-car, rollover crash today on the Hollywood (170) Freeway in North Hollywood, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred on the southbound 170 Freeway at Sherman Way just after 4 a.m., CHP Officer Peter Bishop said.
The car rolled over after it crashed and ended up on its roof on the right side of the freeway, Bishop said.

Two people were transported to a hospital by city fire paramedics. One of the injured was pronounced dead at an area hospital and the other person suffered major injuries, according to CHP Officer Monica Posada.
The CHP shut down the southbound 170 onramp at Sherman Way and declared a SigAlert at 4:13 a.m., according to Bishop. The SigAlert was later canceled and all lanes are now open.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
