NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A collision on the southbound Hollywood (170) Freeway in North Hollywood Sunday resulted in a person being trapped under an overturned car, authorities said. The crash was reported at 8:56 p.m. on the connector from the southbound Hollywood Freeway to the eastbound Ventura (134) Freeway, the California Highway Patrol said. Firefighters responded to free the trapped person, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said. Broadcast reports suggested that a driver lost control of a car, which hit the center divider, then struck the other car. The CHP log also indicated that a motorcycle was down, in addition to at least two cars. Further details were not available. Further details were not immediately available.City News Service
