18-Month-Old Found Wandering in North Hollywood Morning Cold

A girl of about 18 months was found wandering unattended today at an apartment complex in the North Hollywood area, and the child’s mother later contacted police, authorities said.

Officers were sent to the 5400 block of Tujunga Avenue about 5:20 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

“A resident in the large apartment complex found the child walking in the area, wearing only a tank top and diaper,” a police statement said.

About 90 minutes later, the child’s mother contacted police, and she was being interviewed, the LAPD reported.
