2 Trapped In North Hollywood Pileup

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Firefighters rescued two people trapped in the wreckage of a multi-car pileup in North Hollywood Tuesday night.

The collision happened in the 7000 block of North Whitsett Avenue. Whitsett Avenue was closed to traffic in both directions in the area of the crash, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The two people trapped in the crash were rescued and taken in to nearby hospitals with non life-threatening injuries, according to Stewart. A third person was treated at the scene.
