26-Day Streak of Falling Gas Prices Ends, Where's the Cheapest?

Nearly four weeks of steadily-declining gasoline prices have reversed in Los Angeles and Orange counties, as the average gallon of gas has begun to edge up this weekend.
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent today to $3.812, one day after a 26-day streak of decreases ended when the price rose two-tenths of a cent.
Despite the back-to-back slight increases, the average price is 3.3 cents less than one week ago and 15.3 cents lower than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

According to MapQuest, the cheapest gas in the North Hollywood area today is at Chevron at 5544 Laurel Canyon Blvd. in Valey Village, where a gallon of regular gas is selling for $3.83
The average price is 76.8 cents higher than at this time last year.

The average price dropped 15.9 cents during the 26-day streak of decreases, including seven-tenths of a cent on Friday.
The Orange County average price rose a half-cent to $3.782 today, one day after a 25-day streak of decreases ended with an increase of seven-tenths of a cent.
The Orange County average price is 3.4 cents less than one week ago and 16.1 cents lower than one month ago but 72.9 cents higher than at this time last year.
The Orange County average price dropped 17.1 cents during the 25-day streak of decreases, including seven-tenths of a cent on Friday.
