3 Men Killed In Mysterious Glendale Shooting

Officers responding to reports of gunfire found three bodies at a Glendale home.

GLENDALE, CA —Three men were shot and Thursday at a home in Glendale in what police are calling a triple homicide.

With the three bodies scattered throughout the property, investigators didn't initially know if the scene was a murder-homicide, but as the day wore on, detectives concluded the killer wasn't among the dead. However, a motive for the killings wasn't made public.

Police responded about 12:15 a.m. to calls from neighbors reporting shots fired in the 1300 block of Columbia Drive, just west of Adams Street, and found the men dead, according to Sgt. Dan Suttles of the Glendale Police Department.

One of the men was found in the garage area, and the others were found inside the home, according to police and reports from the scene. Suttles said one man lived at the residence.

The men were described only as being between 20 and 50 years of age. Their names were withheld, pending notification of their relatives.

A motive for the shooting was unknown, and the circumstances were unclear, Suttles said.

Early in the investigation, detectives were exploring all possibilities, including whether the men "may have shot each other," but later determined that the case was a triple homicide, Suttles said.

But he said there was not believed to be any lingering threat in the area.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call police at (818) 548-4911, or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.

A neighbor told reporters at the scene that a man in his 40s lived at the home, and his children would frequently visit him. One report indicated that several renters also lived at the home.
