6-Car Pileup Snarls 5 And 405 Freeways
BREAKING: A six-car pileup that left one person injured, triggered a 5 Freeway SigAlert that is now backing up the 405 Freeway as well.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A six-car pileup that triggered a SigAlert on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Sun Valley is now backing up the San Diego (405) Freeways.
One person was injured in the pileup on the northbound 5 Freeway near Sheldon Street in the Sun Valley area, according to the California Highway Patrol. One of the vehicles rolled over, and one person has been hospitalized, said Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The southbound carpool lane and two main lanes are closed and a SigAlert has been issued, according to the CHP.
The crash has also backed up northbound traffic on 405 Freeway as well.
