6 Miles of Streets in North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks Getting Slurry Seal
This treatment will prevent water seepage and extend the life of streets.

The following message comes from the office of Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Krekorian:
Next week, crews are slated to apply slurry seal (a pre-mixed rubberized solution made partly of recycled tires) to about six miles of North Hollywood and Sherman Oaks. This treatment will prevent water seepage and extend the life of streets for at least seven years. For every 100 miles of streets slurried, the city uses a out 26,000 tires that had previously littered the landfill.
Please note that your street may be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. while it is being treated. If you experience any problems or have concerns, please call us at (818) 755-7676 email councilmember.krekorian@lacity.org or use your iPhone or Android app to let us know.
