80 Firefighters Quell NoHo Building Fire
Crews responded to a smoky fire at a vacant two-story building in North Hollywood on Saturday afternoon.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Firefighters worked to extinguish a smoldering fire at a vacant two-story commercial building on Saturday afternoon in North Hollywood.
About 80 firefighters worked to quell the fire within 33 minutes at 11345 W. Chandler Blvd., the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
Tujunga Avenue was set to remain closed between Chandler Boulevard and Burbank Boulevard until officials are able to fully mop up the fire, officials said. Plans to reopen the Metro G Line busway in the area of the fire were underway as of 4:08 p.m.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation and no injuries were reported.
Photos posted to social media showed the building heavily involved with thick black smoke.
