Alleged Gunman Lead Police on Chase to North Hollywood
Police chased an SUV with a suspected gunman inside on freeways and streets throughout the Valley Tuesday night.

LOS ANGELES, CA - Police chased an SUV with a suspected gunman inside on freeways and streets in the San Fernando Valley tonight before the chase came to an end in North Hollywood and the suspect was taken into custody.
The black Chevrolet Tahoe was chased on the Ronald Reagan (118), Golden State (5) and Hollywood (170) freeways and on Oxnard and Hatteras streets before the vehicle came to a stop in the area of Hatteras and Whitnall Highway in North Hollywood.
The suspect, a man in his 30s who lives in the North Hollywood area, was taken into custody at the end of the approximately 20-minute chase and arrested for suspicion of possession of a firearm, according to Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

A firearm that was allegedly tossed from the SUV during the chase was recovered, Lopez said.
