GORMAN, CA — Authorities are asking for help finding a 1-month-old boy, who was allegedly abducted by his father Friday in the Gorman area, prompting an Amber Alert. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. According to police, 1-month-old Jefferson Gomes was kidnapped at about 1 p.m. by his father Jeff Gomes, 42, following a domestic violence incident, according to Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Information Bureau. Investigators believe Gomes is armed with a gun. Jeffrey Gomez fled from the area of Zenobia Way, just north of state Route 138 in Lebec and was believed to be heading north on Interstate 5, said Navarro-Suarez. The two were believed to be in a white 2007 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck with the California license plate 02390P1. The boy was last seen wearing a navy blue onesie.
