LOS ANGELES, CA — A bloodied and badly wounded man was the apparent victim of a shooting Tuesday in Toluca Lake.
Details from police were scant, but video recorded at the location showed the apparent victim, conscious and sitting upright, with blood on his head and face, as he was being tended to by paramedics before being loaded into an ambulance for hospital transport.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reported only that it had responded to a shooting call at 4:03 a.m. in the 3500 block of Cahuenga Boulevard before taking one person to a hospital.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman said that officers responded to the location but she could not confirm a report from the scene that a perimeter search for a suspect or suspects had been undertaken.
