The Big Draw LA is BACK and Bigger than ever! Kick Off This Month-Long Celebration with Ryman Arts and The Reef!

Grab your pencils, pens and paintbrushes and let's draw together at The Big Draw LA!

Grab your pencils, pens and paintbrushes and let’s draw together! The Big Draw LA, a regional community event that celebrates the act of drawing by encouraging the public to come together and draw regardless of age or skill level is back for the entire month of October.

Ryman Arts, the nonprofit organization that has presented The Big Draw LA for the last five years is teaming up with The Reef, a creative habitat in downtown LA, to kick off this celebration with an immersive art experience at a Community Drawing Workshop on Saturday, October 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This FREE event will take place at Maker City LA, located on the 11th floor of The Reef, and will offer a series of fun and exciting art projects, including collaborative cartooning, drawing on glass, making sketchbooks, and mastering the art of animation.

On the way to Maker City LA, attendees will enjoy a handful of other art activities in the lobby of The Reef, including mask decorating, as well as a collaborative drawing experience that will unite friends, families, and community members to express their unique imaginations on a large drawing surface.

Ryman Arts is a rigorous, talent-based student art program that gives motivated high school students throughout Southern California the opportunity to acquire the foundational skills needed for a career in the arts, as well as college and career guidance - all at no cost to students or their families.

The Big Draw LA is a fun-filled celebration that spans the entire month of October and includes a series of events hosted by community organizations throughout Southern California.
