Brush Fire Burns Near Hansen Dam, Again
Los Angeles firefighters tackled a small brush fire burning amid heavy brush near the Hansen Dam.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A small fire broke out amid windy conditions near the Hansen Dam Monday afternoon, but crews were able to contain it to 15 acres.
Los Angeles Fire Department units responded to a small blaze burning in medium-to-heavy brush. Firefighters were called to the fire near 11798 W. Foothill Boulevard just before 4 p.m., according to the fire department's spokesman Nicholas Prange.
The blaze is one of several brush fires in the Hansen Dam area so far this year.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation, but it appears to be the result of several spot fires.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department assisted the Los Angeles Fire Department in the operation.

Los Angeles County Fire Department and Los Angeles Fire Department units will remain on scene for at least another hour to mop up the remaining hot spots.
