Brush Fire Squelched Near Sun Valley

BREAKING: The blaze broke out near the area of the devastating La Tuna Fire

SUN VALLEY, CA – Firefighters today extinguished a quarter-acre brush fire adjacent to the site of a blaze earlier this month that scarred nearly 7,200 acres in the Sun Valley area.

Fifty-four firefighters sent to the 9900 block of Roscoe Boulevard about 10:20 a.m. extinguished the flames in about 40 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported. No one was hurt, and no homes were threatened.

The "one-quarter acre of volatile medium-density brush (was) in a canyon behind homes, at a location that abuts the scar of the LaTuna wildfire of September 1, 2017," LAFD said.
