Burbank Celebrates 100 Years Today With a 'Party of the Century'
The Valley city hits a milestone.
Burbank is celebrating its 100th birthday today with a "Party of the Century" that begins at 5 p.m.
Events recognizing Burbank's rich history of aviation and entertainment will include flybys of vintage airplanes and Minnie and Mickey Mouse presenting a giant cupcake display, according to the Daily News.
The party, which is set to take place in downtown Burbank, will also feature parades, stage entertainment, fireworks, and children’s entertainment, according to Burbank.com.

KNBC weatherman and will be broadcasting live from in front of the City Hall at 275 E. Olive Avenue. A time capsule will also be opened and another one will be created.
A $300,000 Madame Toussaud wax figure of Bob Hope, who lived in nearby Toluca Lake for 60 years and whom after the Burbank airport is named, will also be unveiled.
