Burglary Suspect Arrested In Toluca Lake's Second Standoff Of The Day

BREAKING: A burglary suspect held police at bay for hours in Toluca Lake Monday morning, the neighborhood's second standoff of the day.

TOLUCA LAKE, CA — A Toluca Lake burglary suspect was arrested Monday after a short standoff, the second standoff of the day in Toluca Lake.

Officers sent to the 10100 block of Toluca Lake Avenue on a burglar alarm call about 10 a.m. surrounded the residence, and the standoff ensued, Los Angeles police Officer Drake Madison said.

The suspect was taken into custody in the backyard of the home shortly after noon.

At the same time, the Los Angeles Police Department was called to handle a second standoff in Toluca Lake at the 1500 block of Vineland Avenue and Tiara Street. In that case, a woman was taken into custody after a brief standoff, according to LAPD officials.
