Chipotle to Burritofy Laemmle Complex

The popular fast food chain signed a 10-year lease last Friday with Los Angeles Commercial Real Estate Group for the storefront next to the movie theater at 5240 Lankershim Boulevard, said firm CEO Eric Reuveni.

Chipotle Communications Director Chris Arnold said there is no firm opening date yet, but construction should begin within a month.

Or, as a sign on one of the property's windows reads, "Burritofication in progress."

Arnold added that it's uncertain whether the new Chipotle spot would also serve beer and margaritas.
