Cinematographer Sam Chatterjee Joins Family Drama ‘Seahorse’
Acclaimed Cinematographer Lends his Talents to a Story of a Couple on the Rocky Road to Parenthood!

LOS ANGELES – Veteran cinematographer Samudranil “Sam” Chatterjee (“Outdooring”) has joined the production of director Charles Roth’s upcoming drama “Seahorse.”
“Charlie is known as a great storyteller with a passion for powerful stories inhabited by multifaceted characters that connect with viewers. ‘Seahorse’ is a great example of that with its compelling storyline and unique characters,” Chatterjee said.
The family drama delves into the life of Tanner, an auto mechanic who lives in a double wide trailer with his wife Misty, but although his wife is infertile, he realizes he wants children and he embarks on a journey towards parenthood that ultimately forces him to redefine his sexuality and gender and questions what it truly means to be a parent.

“It’s a great story with great locations that open themselves up for a lot of interesting framing and blocking choices that allow us to see the world through Tanner's eyes,” he said. “I'm also interested in hinting at Misty's breakdown throughout the whole story and how best to tell that visually and subtly over a feature length period. Misty is a character that slowly falls apart and questions her existence in this relationship and is ultimately the obstacle for Tanner to overcome and I'm excited to tell that side of the story faithfully as well.”
Chatterjee has worked on the film drama “Outdooring” which was screened at South By Southwest International Film Festival earlier month, as well as “Quinn’s Place,” a limited series set to air later this year directed by Roth, along with “The Shallows,” the shark thriller starring Blake Lively, as well as the horror-comedy “Charlie’s Farm” with Tara Reid as well as other notable films.
