Day 14: Countdown to the Colfax World Fair – Gotta Love that Orange Chicken!

The street banners are hanging, the posters are going up all over town and the word is officially out: It’s exactly two weeks until the Colfax World Fair comes to Valley Village. We continue with some of the items that guests can find at the fair which takes place Saturday, June 2 from noon – 7 p.m. at Colfax Charter Elementary School.

Attraction: Slip & Slide

This is not your average front yard Slip & Slide. Take a long running start and belly flop across 31 feet of slippery wet fun. There are two lanes so you can race your friends! No, kids… this doesn’t count as taking a bath.

Game: Bull’s-eye

How good is your aim? Find out as you take target practice. No fair aiming at your friends outside the game booth who are wearing their Target Department Store t-shirts.

Food Vendor: Panda Express

Come early and get a plate of orange chicken for lunch before the line gets too long. Then come back a few hours later for dinner. You can’t ever get enough of that orange chicken.

Entertainment: Kinder Violin

Sure it’s fun to watch these little tykes play:

The really tricky part is getting them to bow in unison.

Silent Auction Item: Theatre West Season Passes

You and a guest will be able to enjoy not just one show, but every show in the 2012-2013 season. Located just feet away from Universal City, Theatre West has been a fixture in the community since 1962. You definitely don’t want to miss their production of The Fantastics coming in August.
