Day 9: Countdown to the Colfax World Fair – Race Your Child in Adrenaline Rush Extreme
The biggest annual event in Valley Village takes place Saturday, June 2.
The Colfax World Fair countdown is down to single digit days, and Valley Village just can’t wait to celebrate! Here are five great things you’ll find on the big day:
Attraction: Adrenaline Rush Extreme
This 1,850 square foot inflatable has winding dual lane mazes where you or your more agile child can climb over walls, dodge pop outs, avoid wall obstacles, crawl through pipes, and speed down slides. Have a race and see if your kid has already finished his popcorn before you make your way out.

Special Event: Photo Booth
Take a trip across the globe and avoid the jet lag. The green screen backdrop will be transformed into a multitude of tourist destinations. Take a photo of your family, your significant other, or just yourself if you’re planning on flying solo.

Food Vendor: Anetema Island Style Bar-B-Que
Colfax’s own Ms. Zoila will be taking a break from kid wrangling and instead be slaving over a hot grill for seven hours. She and her family will be cooking up white rice, calbe (short ribs), chicken, and chicken potato salad. The meat is marinated in Zoila’s brother-in-law’s secret sauce. Maybe if you leave her a good tip she’ll tell you what’s the recipe.
Entertainment: Orchestra
Free orchestra is offered to all Colfax students from 3rd to 5th grade as long as they promise to practice their instrument at home. This is your last chance to see the 5th graders before they move on to the acclaimed Walter Reed Middle School orchestra.
Silent Auction Item: E3 Enrichment Educational Experiences
Colfax’s paid afterschool enrichment program is a godsend for working parents, but even at-home moms and dads choose to send their kids to E3 because they have a great time. Students get help with homework, take fun and educational enrichment classes like science, art, and music, and have a chance to play with their friends. E3 has donated this $200 gift certificate good toward annual registration fee and/or monthly tuition.
The Colfax Word Fair takes place Saturday, June 2 from noon – 7 p.m. at Colfax Charter Elementary School, 11724 Addison St., Valley Village, 91607. Admission is free and all money raised pays for student programs at Colfax. Silent auction items can be viewed by logging clicking here.
