Dollar Tree Moving Into Old Location of Mainly Seconds
A chain retail store with about 4,000 locations to replace a 36-year-old independent business.
A Dollar Tree store will be taking over the space vacated by Mainly Seconds, which stood on Magnolia Boulevard in Valley Village for 36 years before owner Jim Herzoff recently decided to close up shop. The store sold pottery and plants, and many Valley residents expressed sadness in the comments section here on Patch when its closing was announced.
A Patch reader, , called it on April 1, about Dollar Tree in the comments section of the story about the closing of Mainly Seconds.
Any mystery or doubt was removed when a new Dollar Tree sign went up at the location recently.

Dollar Tree is a retail chain that specializes in goods that cost under $1. According to its website, Dollar Tree opened its 4,000th location in 2010.
No word yet on when the new store is set to open, but it will be some time, as it is being gutted and remodeled (see the photos.)
