In February the Los Angeles City Council Transportation Committee received a proposal to increase the speed limit on Chandler Boulevard in Valley Village from 35 mph (current speed limit) to 45 mph (proposed new speed limit). Background information presented to the City Council members on the Transportation Committee included references to traffic surveys done over 3 years ago. Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Koretz asked that action on this very important decision be so that stakeholders affected by this change could be asked for their input.
Neighborhood Council Valley Village (NCVV) is hosting a Town Hall meeting to allow stakeholders to express their opinion on the proposed speed limit increase. The meeting will include brief presentations from the Department of Transportation, the office of Councilmember Paul Koretz, and the North Hollywood Police Department. We want to hear from you.
