Federal Bar Owners Opening Latin-Themed Restaurant in NoHo

There's another big restaurant on its way to Noho from the people behind the . Morgan Margolis, CEO of Knitting Factory Entertainment, says they are "excited to launch another restaurant in the NoHo corridor which will be located just two blocks from The Federal Bar and will feature a Latin theme.” Stay tuned for the particulars.
Get down to on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will feature 20 local contestants competing for prizes and the title of “The NoHo Taco Cook-off champ." A portion of the proceeds will be donated to “The Forgotten Dogs,” a local dog rescue organization. Also participating: Over 25 gourmet food trucks, live music, hula hoop and belly dance performances, art and crafts, piñatas, dog adoptions, vendors, and much much more. Wendy’s Project Gold Hamburger, the highly anticipated Dave's Hot n' Juicy 1/2 lb. Double Cheeseburger, was finally unveiled Monday after two and a half years, countless taste tests, expert chemists and cooks. After 42 years of the same burger, this burger has extra cheese, a thicker tomato and crinkled pickles — and weighs in at 810 calories fully loaded. Celebrate food and creative arts this Saturday at The BLVD Hotel + Spa in Studio City, for a live mural painting competition. The competition will be held along on the second level 80 ft. wall alongside the BLVD Hotel, which has teamed with The 1881 Project to present BLVD ARTS. Eight local artists will be using the hotel’s walls as their canvas, creating unique 6-by-8-foot murals. The public is welcome to enjoy live music, beverages and mobile gourmet fare from LA’s top food trucks. The event is free to the public. Quiznos is re-releasing an updated version of one of their most popular signature sandwiches. The Black Angus on Rosemary Parmesan sub — a freshly toasted loaf of bread is topped topped with slices of Black Angus steak, rosemary and melted cheddar, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses and covered with a layer of caramelized onions and sauteed mushrooms. To promote the recently returned sandwich, Quiznos is willing to give anyone who doesn’t enjoy eating it a $10 gift card to compensate.
