Film Veterans Set to Produce Horror Thriller 'The Fetus'
The Film Tells Story of a Young Family who are Cursed with a Demonic Fetus!

LOS ANGELES –Veteran producers Joe Lam (“Fugitive Zero”) and Joe Barbagallo (“Site 13”) are going into pre-production with their new horror thriller “The Fetus,” starring Georgina Okon (“Black Panther”).
Co-written and directed by Lam, the film follows the story of selfish man who must decide if it’s worth saving a demonic fetus that grows inside his girlfriend’s belly, which must feast on human blood to survive. The film is produced by Barbagallo’s production company BarBHouse.
“This film is an engaging tale of how a couple discovers that their unborn child is a demonic entity bent on destruction,” Lam said. “It’s part horror and part psychological thriller where we play witness to a growing evil that starts to consume this family and those around them even as they struggle to make sense of it all.”

The movie stars Okon who portrays Cerise, a mysterious woman who seeks to steal away the demonic child when he is born and unleash its evil onto the world.
“I’m thrilled to work with Joe Lam again after working with him on ‘Fugitive Zero,’” Okon said. “He has an innate instinct for great visuals and unique characters that connect with audiences. I’m looking forward to working with him and his team.”

Okon, who earned seven film festival awards for her work on “Fugitive Zero,” comes to the film after serving as a regular on the Netflix supernatural series “Mortel,” and the upcoming film “Think and Grow Rich: A Black Choice” from director Scott Cervine (“The Shadow Effect”) as . More recently, she appeared in the Sept. 27 episode of the CBS sitcom “Bob Hearts Abishola.”
“Georgina brings a great energy to the role and real dedication to bringing her characters to life with passion and believability,” Lam said. “We are expecting additional cast announcements soon, but we are pleased to have Georgina join this captivating thriller.”
Lam is known for his work the film shorts “Our Story,” “Awkward,” and others. Barbagallo produced the upcoming film “Cryptid,” starring Ellen Adair (“The Sinner”), as well as the films “Site 12,” “Iris,” and “Just One More Kiss.”
Production on “The Fetus” is set to start in March 2022 on location in New Jersey.
