Fire Damages North Hollywood Home

Firefighters were able to quickly tackle the blaze near Laurel Canyon Boulevard Thursday night.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Firefighters battled a house fire in North Hollywood Thursday night near Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

The blaze broke out at about 7:50 p.m. in the 6900 block of Ben Avenue Thursday evening, and it took 28 firefighters to extinguished it, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Fire crews contained the fire to one room, and the flames were extinguished in about 10 minutes, Stewart said.

No one was injured.
