Fire Engulfs North Hollywood Building

A fire at a small building behind a home in North Hollywood is under investigation.

A non-injury fire that engulfed a small building behind a house in North Hollywood was extinguished by firefighters, a fire department official said today.

The blaze that burned the outbuilding behind at home at 11039 Emelita St. was reported at 7:31 p.m. Tuesday, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The department dispatched 31 firefighters to the scene who extinguished the flames in 16 minutes, Humphrey said. No injuries were reported.
