Fire Erupts At North Hollywood Business

The fire was reported at 10855 W. Vanowen St.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA -- Firefighters Sunday put out a stubborn greater alarm fire at a personal storage business in North Hollywood. Dispatched at 5:33 a.m. to 10855 W. Vanowen St., firefighters had the fire out at 6:11 a.m., said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

"Firefighters had to force entry into numerous individual storage lockers in order to access the fire," Stewart said.

The structure was built in 1977 and the fire was centered in a mezzanine in the rear portion of the single-story building, she said.

No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was under investigation.
