Fire Scorches 5 Acres In El Sereno
Los Angeles firefighters were able to contain an El Sereno brushfire to five acres Thursday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A fire scorched about five acres of vegetation Thursday in Ascot Hills Park in the El Sereno area of Los Angeles.
The fire was reported about 9:45 a.m. near the 4200 block of South Huntington Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The flames were extinguished in about an hour, the LAFD reported.
Air and ground crews were deployed to the scene. No injuries were reported, and no structures were damaged.
