Flood Victim Saved In Dramatic Air Rescue In Acton [Watch]
Two people were saved in dramatic air rescues as a flash flood washes over Acton community: BREAKING.
ACTON, CA — Two people are lucky to be alive today thanks to simultaneous helicopter rescues in Acton where they were trapped in their cars amid raging flash floods. The flash flood overtook a dozen cars and homes, washing out a Metrolink track and overtaking the 14 Freeway Thursday.
A rare monsoonal rain storm triggered massive flooding in the desert town north of Los Angeles, catching residents off guard. Los Angeles County Fire crews saved one man perched atop the roof of his truck as flood waters raged around him.
At the same time, a short distance away, another helicopter was rescuing another resident, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department Air Operations.

Floodwater overtook the intersection at Red Rover Mine Road and Sierra Highway, and then overflowed the 14 Freeway, according to CBS.
A flood watch remains in effect for the area through the night, according to the National Weather Service, Forecasters predict as much as an inch of rain each hour.
