Foul Play Suspected In Death Of Woman Found In Griffith Park

A woman's body was found by in Griffith Park by park rangers Tuesday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in Griffith Park Tuesday. Authorities suspect she was the victim of foul play.

The woman was found by park rangers found the woman at about 11 a.m. along Red Oak Drive, according to Los Angeles police Officer Jeff Lee. She was wrapped in a blanket or sleeping bag when they found her. She is believed to be about 30 to 40 years old, Lee said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Coroner's investigators summoned to the location determined the death was suspicious and a homicide investigation was launched, Lee said.
