Freebie Alert: Italian Ice for a Day, for a Year

The first 50 in line will get set up for a year's supply.

Rita’s Italian Ice of North Hollywood officially opens is Friday, Oct. 3 and will be handing out Italian ice.

Rita’s sells a blend of Italian Ice and old-fashioned frozen custard, first recognized and loved by East Coasters. The North Hollywood. shop is located at 4821 Lankershim Blvd.

Rita’s North Hollywood is also giving away “FREE Italian Ice for one Year” to the first 50 people in line the morning of Oct. 3. To qualify, guests must donate a tube of toothpaste for local nonprofit, L.A. Family Housing, and be at least 13 years of age (only one customer per household may be rewarded).

Ultimately, the 50 winning recipients will each receive 52 Free Italian Ice coupons that can be used over the next year.

“We are so excited to introduce Rita’s Italian Ice to more of Los Angeles here in North Hollywood,” said Prateek Singh, Rita’s franchisee. “We invite the whole community to come try Rita’s and celebrate our grand opening, Friday, Oct. 3!”

In addition to having the opportunity to win free Rita’s ice for an entire year, the North Hollywood location will be giving away one free regular size Italian Ice to every customer during the grand opening. Customers can choose from over a dozen popular flavors including Mango, Alex’s Lemonade and Cherry. The free ice can also be upgraded to Rita’s signature Gelati, a layering of your favorite Italian Ice and creamy Frozen Custard, for only $1.58.
