Toddler Stabbed to Death in North Hollywood: Updated
BREAKING: Police arrested the baby girl's father whom they allege killed her, stabbed himself and set fire to an apartment building.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA -- A 13-month-old girl was stabbed to death in North Hollywood Friday, and her father has been arrested on suspicion of killing her.
Los Angeles police arrested a 20- to 25-year-old man they described as drug-crazed. He allegedly stabbed the child before setting his apartment ablaze and turning the knife on himself, said Los Angeles Police Officer Drake Madison. The child was pronounced dead at the hospital, and the man is in critical condition.
The girl's mother took the child to a hospital, and when police arrived, they found a combative man with a knife protruding from his chest, said LAPD Capt. Steve Carmona.

“Initially it was thought that she was thrown out the window, but we are coming to the conclusion that that may not be the case.”
The grisly incident happened at an apartment complex in the 13100 block of Vanowen Street. Firefighters quickly put out the fire.
