Grass Fire Put Out After Threatening Buildings Near NoHo
One carport was partially damaged in a Friday afternoon grass fire that briefly threatened some structures north of North Hollywood.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Crews contained a grass fire that broke out Friday morning in Lake View Terrace, north of North Hollywood, briefly putting some structures at risk, according to fire officials.
It took 40 firefighters about 25 minutes to extinguish the three-quarter acre grass fire. Crews also knocked down flames on a carport which was exposed to the fire and partially damaged, the Los Angeles Fire Department said shortly after noon.
The fire broke out between apartment buildings and a plant nursery, possibly putting the apartments at risk, according to fire dispatches.

There were no reported injuries, and the cause is under investigation.
