The council also discusss the new GTLNC Web site design, past and upcoming community events, recent crime and a Good Neighbor Award presentation.

The Greater Toluca Lake Neighborhood Council (GTLNC) met on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the Toluca Lake Elementary School auditorium, and discussed several topics such as the new GTLNC Web site design, past and upcoming community events, recent crime and a Good Neighbor Award presentation.

Alice Roth, Deputy District Director of Council District 4, presented the Good Neighbor Award to Teddy Hall, a woman who helped create and maintain Toluca Lake Elementary School's computer lab. Ms. Hall was involved from the very inception of the lab, and has worked on running and improving it for the past 17 years. Carol Reo-Bove, the principal of Toluca Lake Elementary School, brought up a bouquet to Ms. Hall, as a gesture of gratitude from the teachers and staff of the school.

Heidi Dublin and Janice Eaton, briefed the attendees on the slight increase of crime, mostly burglaries in the area, and offered advice to help prevent crime. Several other board members shared recent stories about criminal activities, and Dylan Conroy, GTLNC's treasurer, warned residents about an unknown, suspicious "guy on a motorcycle" who was allegedly stalking his wife.

Ryan Altoon, GTLNC's Vice-President, gave a public debut of the new GTLNC Web site, using a digital projector to show the attendees the difference between the current site and the upcoming site, and he detailed the major improvements being implemented for better communications between residents and the GTLNC.
