Hillary Clinton Supports New Search for Amelia Earhart

The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery will begin the search in June.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is set to meet with historians and scientists today to discuss a new hunt that is being planned to search for the wreckage of Earhart's Lockheed Electra plane.

The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery will begin the search in June, according to the Associated Press. Earhart, who lived in Toluca Lake for about the last decade of her life, disappeared on July 2, 1937 while attempting to circumnavigate the globe.
