Hit-And-Run Driver Kills Man in North Hollywood

The crash occurred Halloween night on Laurel Canyon Boulevard, and police are asking for help finding the hit-and-run driver.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A hit-and-run driver killed a man walking in North Hollywood on Halloween night, and police are asking for help finding the driver.

The crash occurred just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday night on Laurel Canyon Boulevard north of Stathern Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The victim was walking outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a silver vehicle heading north on Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

The driver fled the scene, continuing north on Laurel Canyon Boulevard after the fatal collision.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities did not immediately release the victim's identity pending notification of next of kin.
