Homebuilt Helicopter Crashes At Van Nuys Airport
A two-seater Homebuilt helicopter crashed at Van Nuys Airport Monday Morning. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

VAN NUYS, CA — An experimental helicopter crashed at Van Nuys Airport late Monday morning, but no one was injured.
The homebuilt Sport Copter 2, with only the pilot aboard, crashed during takeoff on runway 34R about 11:15 a.m., according to Ian Gregor of the Federal Aviation Administration.
An investigation was underway into what caused the two-seat copter to go down, Gregor said.

The aircraft is registered to a Santa Monica resident.
