Husband Finds Wife And Child Found Slain In SFV Home

Police are investigating the slayings of a woman and her teenage son in their San Fernando Valley home. No arrests have been made.

VAN NUYS, CA — A San Fernando Valley man told police he arrived home to find his wife and teenage son slain the day after Christmas. Los Angeles police are investigating their deaths as a homicide, and no arrests have been made in case.

The Van Nuys man told police he arrived home at about 11 p.m. Wednesday night to find the bodies of his 13-year-old son and his wife, a woman in her 40s, said Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section. They were found in a home in the 13800 block of Oxnard Street in the Valley Glen neighborhood, she added.

"There is trauma," Eisenman said. "It is being investigated as a homicide."

Police have released no suspect information. The father is cooperating with police. Names have not yet been released.
