Join the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Discovery Shops in Toluca Lake

Since 1965, the Discovery Shops of the American Cancer Society, California

Division, have raised over 308 million dollars fighting and preventing cancer.

Through donations, shoppers and volunteers they have enabled researchers and

doctors to better diagnose, treat and find cures for this monstrous illness, that

brings heartbreak to so many families.

Well, here’s your chance to join in and spend some enjoyable time in the

process. Friday, June 12th, begins the 50th Anniversary of the Discovery Shops

and they are pulling out all stops to put on a fabulous week-end celebration just

for you! First off, you get a chance to meet some of the top civic and business

leaders that represent you in government and that create the business world you

shop in. Here’s a chance to get a word in edgewise.

Kindred spirits will be on hand to discuss the latest in the progress to thwart our

most noxious enemy, Cancer. Also there will be some wonderful people who

have fought their cancer battle and won, and the fabulous volunteers that make it

all possible. Possibly, you’d like to find out how to volunteer yourself?

If you’re in the market for some useful knowledge, designer clothing, fine

furniture from antique to modern, tasteful jewelry or incidentals to fill your life or

your home, don’t miss The Discovery Shops’ 50th Anniversary extravaganza. It

lasts one weekend only and you can’t afford to stay home!

Ribbon cutting and festivities for the remarkable celebration begin on Friday,

June 12that 12 noon. The Toluca Lake location can be found at 10124 Riverside

Drive, across from Trader Joe’s.

Hourly Drawings will be held all day Friday with a chance to win $50 Discovery

coupons redeemable in store merchandise. Saturday and Sunday all

merchandise will be 50% off, that’s right all merchandise, nothing held back!
